How is safety in Iran?

Many tourists do not have a proper idea of Islam because of negative propaganda about this attitude, and they are unaware of Iranian people’s beliefs and morals. In Iran, family matters are very important, as they take their responsibilities to their family very seriously. Women are to be protected and taken care of and it is inappropriate to ask questions about an Iranian’s wife or other female relatives. Their loyalty to the family comes before everything and is a priority. Iranians see themselves as having two distinct identities: “Zaher” (public) and “Batin” (private).
When they are in public, they must conform accepted convention of behavior. It is only within their homes among their inner circle that they feel free to be themselves. Family members are always part of the inner circle. In general, Iran is one of the safest countries for travelers, and so many travelers describe it as the “safest country I’ve ever been to.” Or safer than traveling in Europe
How can you be safe in Iran?
Violent crime against foreigners is extremely rare and, indeed, if you do your best to fit in with local customs, they unlikely treat you with anything, but courtesy and friendliness – that applies to Americans, too. people have hitchhiked across deserts, stayed in strangers’ places and left bags in restaurants and cafes without any problem. Safety in Iran is surprisingly fine. There isn’t any war in Iran as people are peaceful. You can go out safely till 1 AM and people will be really nice towards you.
Safety in Iran is for everyone except:
If you are in one of these categories it’s better not to travel to Iran.
If you are Jewish and have an Israeli’s passport, you had better not to travel to Iran. Even if you have USA passport or European passport it’s better not to risk it.
If you are working in an spy agency, or were working at one, especially if that agency is related to Europe or America, don’t come to Iran, secure guards will probably fine you, but there is a 10–15% chance that government will bother you or arrest you.
In case of being a well-known Journalist that has written anything against Iran’s government, again don’t risk it.
In condition that you are not one of those categories, there is no worries for you to visit Iran. It’s nice to know that we have seen a lot of passengers who were one of the list above that visited Iran and had no problems, they went back safe. But in the worst case scenario it is 20% possible for you to get bothered by government.
